Manuscript, in a single hand, documenting Wraxall's sojourn in Paris. The author provides notes on the current French political situation, reflections on the recent Revolution, and detailed descriptions of the city, its environs and its inhabitants, including a portrayal of washerwomen as "these nymphs of the flood." The volume concludes with a description of the author's meeting with the then notorious Lord Byron, who alluded to Wraxall's "Memoirs of the Courts of Berlin, etc." The manuscript is the last volume in a set of travel diaries, of which the Osborn Collection has the second and third volumes (Osborn c27-28).
